HISTORY

By chance, fate or luck – call it what you wish – a group of collectors got together to create one of the world’s best mini bottle clubs.

This was way back in 1979 and the membership could have been counted on the fingers of your hands.

However, they made one very simple, but important discovery – by sharing the information that they knew, each and every one of them could benefit.

The telephone calls, letters and occasional get-togethers proved this theory to be correct and an organised newsletter was decided upon. The architecture of the mini bottle club was now in place.
Membership stands at just under 400 collectors from 27 different countries. Collecting mini bottles is a worldwide hobby enjoyed by many different people, from all walks of life.

Just as the membership has grown, the club has grown too.

The original newsletter has developed into a publication of around 50 pages, published 6 times a year.

A club auction is in place to allow members to buy and sell their spare bottles, this is sometimes the only way to find that ‘elusive’ bottle.

The get-togethers and house meetings have been replaced by club meetings and bottle fairs in halls and hotels all over the UK. The highlight of the meetings is the swapping, buying and selling of hundreds, if not thousands, of miniatures and other related items.
